Coaching and MENTORING

Currently taking projects for summer 2025.

Hawkins works one-on-one with writers on creative nonfiction, poetry, and hybrid projects. Coaching can be remote or in person.

Editing and mentoring contracts vary widely. Hawkins can act as a first reader on a big project you have in mind to generate new work on a deadline. They can act as a personal writing coach to get you going from scratch. They can read work towards polishing. Contracts and writing agreements are tailored to suit your personal writing needs and goals. Hawkins’ notes sway towards process and play, personal and somatic, poem specific and poem within a manuscript imaginations, and include big picture possibility and fine-tuning language critique.
